WHY ARGUE

I was my way to bed, and I couldn't go to sleep with this on my mind tonight. I have a real problem with people and their insistence in thinking they know the mind of GOD. How could you possibly understand or fully know the mind of an entity so full of power, knowledge and love? How can you make the statement that you are sure in your opinion of a interpretation of a scripture when the only thing to back it up is you and the way that you think?

OK, I know what our thinking, what is this crazy girl talking about, well I will tell you. These people who insist that women are to only be seen in church, that women should just be an appendage of their husbands and not helpmates, these men who think that they can take one sentence in the Bible, pull it out of its context and declare that THIS IS THE WORD OF THE LORD, is ludicrous and laughable.

There is one thing I never do, and that is because I learned my lesson the hard way, and that is to debate the WORD of GOD. It stands and there is little to add and very little to defend, because those who wrote it did a very good job, that is why they were chosen. The problem comes in when people read the Bible and start to separate phrases and thoughts and make these meanings into things that make them more comfortable.

Don't get me wrong, reading the WORD can be peaceful and soothing to your heart. However, if you are anything like me, when I read it it also cuts and chastises and makes makes me thank GOD that HE sent JESUS to die for my sins. The WORD does not bring division among people, but it will make those who do not wish to live by its COMMANDMENTS separate themselves from the truth, there is a difference . GOD never puts anyone away, it is our shortcomings that keep us away from all that HE has for us.

In my opinion, those who read the Bible only to find ways to justify their prejudices, support their opinions and to make others feel inferior are committing the worse sin. GOD HIMSELF, says that the greatest thing you can do is show love. If you show love everything else will come. When you show love there is no room to hate, kill, backbite, envy, have malice and any of the other things we do as people to each other.

OK OK, I am done for now.... I DO LOVE GOD, BUT I WILL NOT DEFEND HIM, HE GOT THIS, HE BEEN DOING THIS SINCE THE BEGINNING AND AIN'T NEEDED NO BACK UP YET.
